As stranded Floridians prepared for Hurricane Irma, Kristen Bell stepped up to the plate for a former co-star.
Josh Gad posted on Instagram Saturday that Bell, who became stranded in Orlando while filming the upcoming Like Father, managed to secure lodging for his family at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort after they were also unable to evacuate the state.
“No joke, [Kristen Bell] just literally saved my parents, my brothers and entire family from Hurricane Irma,” Gad wrote. “You are an angel. I adore you.”
So @kristenanniebell literally saved my parents and my entire family tonight from #hurricaneirma . When they were stranded in Florida, she got them a hotel room at her hotel in Orlando and saved them, my brothers, my sister-in-law and niece and nephew. They don’t make them like this girl. Thank you Kristin. You are truly an angel sent from above. And thank you @ewablueeyes for bother her when I asked you not to!!!!
Bell has spent the week getting ready for Hurricane Irma’s arrival, including prepping supplies for those who are also stranded.
“Sad that a hurricane has to bring out the best in everyone- but happy that the community will be holding hands through this,” she wrote in an Instagram post on Friday.
Gad is originally from Hollywood, Florida, which is on the state’s eastern coast.
He and Bell co-starred in the movie Frozen in 2013.
