DEE-FENSE! *clapclapclap* DEE-FENSE!
Aaron Rodgers may be a QB, but he’s being anything but offensive with his comments about Colin Kaepernick.
The Green Bay Packers star has the back of the former 49ers QB, who has yet to be signed to a new team since he made waves by protesting police brutality by kneeling during the National Anthem.
“I think the best way I can say this is: I don’t understand what it’s like to be in that situation. What it is to be pulled over, or profiled, or any number of issues that have happened, that Colin was referencing — or any of my teammates have talked to me about…. But I know it’s a real thing my black teammates have to deal with.”
Rodgers does say he’s trying to understand better by talking with teammates like new tight end Martellus Bennett; he already knows enough to believe the country needs “remedy and improve” the situation.
See how fans on Twitter reacted to Rodgers defending Kaepernick:
Thank you, Aaron Rodgers.
It’s about time.
Important to remember that in addition to defending Kaepernick, Aaron Rodgers has also spoken out against Islamophobia. Pretty great person.

It is our inability to recognize and accept racial inequality that divide us. I applaud Aaron Rodgers for coming to Kaepernick’s defense. pic.twitter.com/ug8suwd7tb
